Lauren
Lauren was born under a coconut tree on the shores of Oahu. Though she is unfortunately not at all tan, she does enjoy tropical juices (preferably liquored) and sensuous rub-downs with SPF 90. She works as a large-animal wrangler at National Geographic and is pursuing a masters at Johns Hopkins so that she too can one day be an unemployed journalist. She lives on U street with a small hamster who enjoys abstaining from exercise. Hobbies include watching football, drinking beer, wearing thongs and going to titty bars. She thinks boobs are great.

Christine
This Pittsburgh native came to DC four years ago to get her Masters in Conservation Biology as well as a taste of the city life. Christine now works on marine science education programs for high school students at a non-profit downtown. A true animal lover, Christine became a vegetarian eight years ago and in her spare time, she volunteers for a dog rescue organization. She loves to stay active and will be running her third half-marathon this weekend. Christine also caught the travel bug a while back and has been all around the world; her most recent international trip was to Peru.

Allison
I like piña coladas, and getting caught in the rain, and the feel of the ocean, and the taste of champagne. If you’re not into yoga, if you have half-a-brain, if you like making love at midnight, in the dunes of the cape – I’m the love that you’ve looked for, bid on me and escape.

Aly
Meet Aly, a feisty on-the-go 23 yr old who advocates for tight jeans on both sexes, chap stick, and conserving energy (so no need to worry about getting her alone in the dark)! This University of Pittsburgh Alumni doesn't take life too seriously, as you can tell from her extensive Adidas sweatpants collection and Pandora playlist chock full of Vanilla Ice. Her interests include ferocious potty humor, liquor on the rocks, and pretending to play basketball well. She is looking forward to summertime walks on the beaches of Fenwick Island, fifth of grey goose in hand, throwing seashells at seagulls.

Rachel
Born in a marsh on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, Rachel has espoused a love of the outdoors since her humble beginnings 26 years ago. Throughout childhood, she had a greater interest in fishing poles and shotguns than Barbies and Easy-Bake Ovens. Naturally, she eventually went to college in Miami to study environmental planning, and got her Master's from GWU in environmental policy. A former Hooter's girl, Rachel now spends her days trying to convince lawmakers of the virtues of wetlands and waterfowl, all while looking out for the interests of the country's sportsmen. In her free time, she likes to ride her bike, pretend to do yoga with her awesome roommate, and watch college football and Top Chef on her giant TV. A bowl of edamame and a frosty beer can improve her mood by 47%.
Turkey season is right around the corner, so reserve your time now while you still can!

Shelly
A relative newcomer to Washington, Shelley loves to explore new places both inside and outside the District. Friends and family know the way to her heart is through coffee, chocolate or some combination of the two. A Pittsburgh sports fan, she likes watching the Steelers win Super Bowls, but suffers from the annual deluded hope that the Pirates will have a winning season. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking spicy food, jamming to rock power ballads, learning new languages and running up the Jefferson Memorial stairs to the Rocky theme song. Bid on this brunette and you'll be in for a rick-rollin' good time!

Jillian
Jillian hails from sunny northern california, but was raised in Columbia MD and recently moved to the DC area. When she's not consulting the federal government, she likes to cook, read books, and play outside. She's sassy and spontaneous, but she won't go sky diving or swim with sharks. Currently, Jillian is training for a half marathon and a triathlon. Can you keep up?

Becky
Becky is a Connecticut native who came to DC three years ago to pursue a graduate degree in environmental policy. Still mourning the devastating loss of her beloved Syracuse in the tournament and the subsequent implosion of her bracket, Becky is taking a hiatus from basketball until the NBA finals. Until then, her spare time is devoted to distance running, cooking and sangria Thursdays.

Anna
Imagine your typical sweet girl-next-door with a touch of rock and roll and a funky beat, and voilà… you’ve got Anna. Born and raised in the Virginia ‘burbs of DC, Anna knows a thing or two about the area and is ready to turn the town upside down with her highest bidder (that’s right, you). She spent a few years in California and Europe, acquiring a mellow West Coast vibe and a cultured taste along the way. Currently, she works as a research assistant at Defenders of Wildlife playing with numbers and maps all day. When Anna is not busy staring at a computer screen at work, she enjoys exploring the city, dancing, waxing poetic, bird watching, and eating Ethiopian food.
